Get emails of new announcements

Commenting

On EVERY page that has comments EMBEDDED at the bottom, you will find a banner just above the comment, which when clicked will show the comments OUTSIDE the page so that you can put your checkmark in the "notify me" box at the bottom, which subscribes you via email to those comments. You have to do this for every page you want email from.

Most of the pages on this site have a comments area at the bottom of them. It is part of the Google Blogger system. You should be able to use your google account and comment using that profile. At the bottom of the comments you see a checkmark box to get notifications from the comments. You can also remove the checkmark to turn off notifications.

From the "comments" this is a clickable link that takes you to the page the comments are embedded in.

Recommended Checkmarks, and subscriptions 👇

There are several ways to monitor the group's activity, so that you know what's new. Everyone is welcome to introduce ideas they'd like to see developed, in the form of a new project. So when a new project is posted, it gets announced, and shows on the site's master project list. THAT is the same as the HOME on MAIN MENU on the left side of the page. THAT list is the core of the group. The rest is extra. You can put your project on that list and announce it through the system like everyone does, and all who are monitoring can come and audition and or comment. We also announce in the facebook group's feed. Watching the list on the project site is much more efficient. Also at the bottom of the HOME page there is a comment area. THAT is a group comment area, so if you put a checkmark in the "notify me", on that comment thread, you'll get email when someone addresses the whole group there. You can think of it like a public wall. As admin I announce a lot of talent profile links, so you can go visit pages of the music makers. When their profile pages are created, the checkmarks are done. When you comment anywhere on the site, someone should see it.

  • Project Pages have both commenting, and a files area. Even if you don't audition, you can listen and comment. People on the page should see your comments. They get notified to come and read. Maybe respond, maybe discussion occurs, and contacts exchanged. That's the idea!

  • HOME on the menu at the top of the page. HOME takes you to the project listing, and Frontpage News GROUPWIDE PUBLIC COMMENTING at the bottom, with email notification service to all. Put a checkmark in that comment thread, and know what's posted as a group. Admin announces things here. Can talk about anything you want in there. It's a wall with email notifications.

  • ANNOUNCEMENTS on that same menu is a mailing list specifically to know when a new project is posted. It is a newsgroup that the admin is the only poster, so it is specifically a notification mailing list. If you look at it you see it is very specific, and is strictly announcing new projects. Once on the project page there will be commenting at the bottom.

  • Facebook Group is a good one and is also for getting notified of all sorts of things in the group, plus it allows commenting and interaction.

  • Chat on the menu is just that. A chat app. The thing is there is several things under that chat, including a comment area, that can be used to call people into chat. If you comment that you are going into chat for a little bit, someone might get the "notify me" email from the comment and join you in chat. If you comment before you go in, you might draw people into chat. I am gonna try this soon, and see if it works. If you like this idea, find those comments and put a checkmark in the notify me box for it.

  • Talent Profiles for all members are good ways to get discussion going. Every one of them should set the owner of the page up with checkmark notifications, so if you comment on their pages they should see it. So really, this is the big picture here folks. THESE COMMENTS ARE GROUP WIDE. It is totally networked, and you can bet that if a comment was setup, someone is getting email from it. If you want to address the whole group use Frontpage News commenting on the HOME page. It's totally networked and you can talk to them and they should see it and respond. Once you are able to comment you are good to do that anywhere on the network where those comment threads are available. Trust me, I set this whole thing up. I have templates and the comments are part of that. It is a fully functioning network of contributing studios. Meet people! Make music! Showcase finished tracks! Build playlists! HAVE FUN!

  • Shoutbox is also group wide. You see the shoutbox in several places on the site(s). We added the s because that same shoutbox is in some of the profiles we've setup. It's also on the files page of each existing project page. It's a lot of fun and lets us post animated gifs. It allows several different ways to login including facebook login.
