Overview of the network
As the title suggests, this is a network. A network of contacts of people who are into music writing, and production, just like you. So you are here to develop new contacts. We do some actual collaboration here in the group but the biggest reason you are here is to develop new contacts with people you might actually work with. Most of this is common sense and should go without saying but here are some common sense things to keep in mind:
The best way to let people know what you are into is to POST PUBLICLY (common sense). We see so many who come here and don't post a single thing! If you don't post publicly how will anyone ever know who you are and what you are into?
It takes some getting to know people before you know how compatibile you are with them. I have done this so much that I can spot problems very quickly as I talk to people. Do yourself a favor and talk to people a little before trying to make music together. I call this "WEEDING" and I can spot a bad attitude a mile away.
If you want people to work with you, on your project you need to MAKE THINGS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE for them. This means that all of the info about the project should be included in the project. Don't be lazy! You will end up having to do a lot more work and wasting a lot of time answering questions anyhow so just be thorough to begin with and make this easier all around. We have a system template that covers all of these bases for you if you use it. They should know what you want on the project just from looking at the project page. They should be able to download the latest mix, as well as upload their audition to your project page. You are welcome to do things your own way, but you get the results based on what you put into it. There is a sencerity factor involved too. If you are sincere about collaborating, you will make it easy for people as they come to your project.People who get results, are usually thorough.
Collaboration can be MANY things related to music writing and production. Here are some of the things that a person might get help with (or give help).
